I hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve, and that 2013 is treating you well so far! We kept New Year's Eve low-key with a four course prix-fixe dinner at Seattle's Michael Mina restaurant RN74 with two close friends (plus champagne, cocktails, and two bottles of wine!), and then watched the Space Needle fireworks show up close from the comfort of a fabulous Belltown condo with another set of dear friends. I am so thankful - I couldn't ask for a better evening than delicious food and amazing friends! =)
The clear, crisp weather these first few days of 2013 have been perfect for piling on warm winter layers, and for today's post I settled on this Cullen wool winter cape. A warm winter cape is a stylish alternative to your trusty wool coat, and looks equally great with skinny jeans, an a-line skirt, or fun printed pants like I did here. Check out my save and splurge picks on winter capes below:
Left: Save on the Larry Levine "Women's Ruffle Trim Cape Coat" in ivory, also available in red and black, $66 (on sale!) at Amazon here
Middle: Save on the Tulle Cape in olive/black, $59.99 (on sale!) at Piperlime here
Left: Splurge on the Ellen Tracy "Belted Cape Coat" in blue, also available in red and black, $174 (on sale!) at Lord & Taylor here
Middle: Splurge on the Pendleton "Women's Reversible Cape Coat" in camel plaid, $288 at Amazon here
Right: Splurge on the Marc New York "Belted Cape Coat" in grey, also available in burnt orange and black, $174 (on sale!) at Lord & Taylor here
How would you style one of these winter capes? Thanks so much for reading!
