Congratulations Bri!! Please check your email for my message. I hope you enjoy your $25 Gap Inc gift card and I can't wait to see what you purchase! Thank you so much to everyone who entered! I truly appreciate each and every one of you and your kind words of support, and hope to be able to offer more giveaways in the near future. =)
I love seeing all of the Valentine's Day themed posts throughout the blogging community this week, and I decided to show you some Valentine colorblocking for my take on a holiday outfit! I paired a J Crew red silk sleeveless blouse with my burgundy skinnies, and then topped the outfit with my Zara elbow patch blazer and Banana Republic loafer pumps. It's preppy and work appropriate, but I love the bright red and burgundy shades that make it stand out.
I've owned this J Crew red silk sleeveless blouse for at least ten years, and I'm tempted to call it vintage but I think I need to wait another ten years before I can claim vintage status (20 years is the magic number, isn't it?). I applaud my younger self for having the good taste to shop the sale section at J Crew in college, and I've loved perusing their catalogs for outfit inspiration for as long as I can remember. Because this blouse is one of the oldest pieces in my closet, I'm joining Kimmie of Blue Paper Lanterns for her "Oh, This Old Thing?" link up.

That's all for today - I hope you are having a wonderful week and thank you for reading!

Hooray I'm so excited!!! Just got your email and seriously can't wait to find something amazing that can fill in one of my wardrobe gaps so I can blog about it! And I love this valentine's day look - I'm going to have to pull together some pinks or reds this week, too! The two reds together are awesome :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Can't wait to see your new outfits! =) Happy shopping!!
DeleteCongrats Bri!!!
ReplyDeleteDang, legs for miles, Amber. And the blouse looks fantastic for being 10 years old! super cute outfit :)
Thank you Kimmie!! Your linkup is such a great idea - it really made me look at the older pieces in my closet that I forget about! =)

Love the red with the burgundy Amber! I got rid of most of my clothes after I was not able lose my baby weight so I don't have much in the way of "vintage". I do love pieces that are of great quality & are so timeless..you look great!
